1910 Tuck’s postcard from Washington’s Birthday Series, “Washington Adopting a Five Pointed Star” Raphael Tuck & Sons was a business started by Raphael Tuck and his wife in Bishopsgate in the City of London on October 1866, selling pictures and greeting cards, and eventually selling postcards and continued until 1959. Washington is shown along with Betsy Ross, the Quaker woman who sewed the first official flag for the new nation.
