Science fiction pulp magazines dominated the American landscape from the 1930s to the 1950’s. Defined by poor quality paper, stories from unknown authors, and super exciting covers, pulps flooded the market. A number of authors went on to become very famouse, the magazines, died out. In May of 1954 this cover was created by a master of science fiction art, Alex Schomburg, showing a spaceman flying by jetpack with a helpless woman in his arms.
